Target Practice

 

 I can just imagine all the great shots the PhotoPass photographers can get when setting up early in the morning.

In Episode 57 of the iso5571 Podcast it was mentioned that when people are in a shot, they shouldn't be distracting/out of place in a scene.  To a certain extent, I had to deal with that in this shot.  I had one other take from this moment (though VERY similar).  But because of the placement of some of the people walking down the street, it would've been a tad confusing to what was really happening here.  I wanted to capture her as she took pics of the Tower of Terror.  But in that alternate take, there were people toward the middle of the street, and directly in her line of sight.  Although they were as far as that red cart, and walking towards ToT, it might've taken more than a quick glance to realize she was not taking their photo.  Heck, even a few people that were on the side were a little too oddly placed for my liking.  So that's just one of the ways that people can throw off a shot.

Crème de la Crêpe

I've never had anything from here, but I heard the chocolate ice cream is REALLY good.

P.S. "Crème de la Crêpe" is the name of some cafe in CA.  So be sure to visit if you're ever in Culver City, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Pasadena, Long Beach, or Redondo Beach.  ;)

Where The Wild Things Are

I wonder if we appear as "atttractions" to some of the animals?!?!?  I guess as far as they know; they are in an "expansive" area, and we are in small spaces just peering through the glass.

Colbie "mmm Mmm MMM!!!" Caillat

Every year, during early December, Disney tapes its Christmas Parade that will air on Christmas Day.  The taping usually lasts for 2 or 3 days; and besides a parade, various musical guests perform.  This year, that list includes the lovely and talented Colbie Caillat, singing "Christmas In The Sand".

It was an absolute treat to see this gorgeous wom.... uuhhh, song being performed.  ;)

Hola, Puerto Rico!!!!

Cruisers celebrate Disney Cruise Line's first ever sailing into Puerto Rico.  And yes, that is their own Puerto Rican flag gracing the railing.

Entering into the San Juan Bay was such a beautiful sight.  The sunrise had just begun... the 'El Morro' Fort was to the left... rocky waters were to the right... and you could see the blue/gray gradient of the mountains in the distance.

The Divine Miss DiVine

Walking along the pathway that connects Africa and Asia, one often stops to take in the beautiful scenery of this area.  While gazing upon a unique looking tree, there may be a WTF? ("what the fiffer-foofin?"... gotta Disney it up) kind of moment.  But no need to worry, it is only DiVine!!!!!

The Lady of the Forest can be seen various times throughout the day.  Sometimes, she'll pose with families for pictures.  But as many can attest to, she mainly just does slow poses, and you PRAY you'll get a good shot.  ;)

DO Feed the Birds

 

...... Then again, maybe don't.

The one downside to feeding the birds????  They become ruthless!!!!!

I've seen (a few mintues before taking this) and heard of (my wife's testimonial) birds swooping down in an attempt to grab your eats.

I guess they figure, since a lot of people give food away, they might as well just TAKE the "offerings" themselves.

When those new-fangled phone apps aren't quite cuttin' it, you gotta rely on ol' trusty!!!

This was taken right at rope drop.  So it was kinda odd to see someone standing here.  Most people start sprinting towards the main attractions.
